German Daniel Smiljkovic is the winner of the 2023 PGT Championship, PGT’s special and exclusive freeroll with a guaranteed prize pool of $1 million. The $500,000 prize is awarded to the player who reaches the final table as the chip leader, although the path to the trophy won’t be easy.

The PGT tournament has only 54 participants, divided among those players who successfully advance. Collect the most points and some organized guests during the PGT season. In a final table with only six players, Smiljkovic defeated actress and amateur Arden Cho heads-up.

Despite the small number of participants, there was some controversy in the competition.
